I usually like Phil Collins. Depeche Mode has some good stuff too. Hmm... there are a couple of others, but I can't think of them offhand. (It's been a long time, fortunately.) When I get really down, "I Don't Care Any More" or "Lie to Me" are especially good. When there's a particular reason for it, "Do You Know, Do You Care" and "Why Can't It Wait Til Morning" help too.
