Although that opinion may have some slight grounding in truth, not only
is sex not the issue -- the operative words in this discussion have been
ones like "loneliness" -- but, at the risk of incriminating myself, just
because someone doesn't have an SO, doesn't mean that he or she has noone
with whom to have sex. While, I appreciate the cynicism of that comment,
I have to take exception to it.
