I was reading news when I received a "quit (core dumped)" message. I then\
recevied what seemed like the output of a 'cat core'. C-z, C-c, C-d would
not stop it. I then escaped back to PAD, and the garbage kept coming!
After several pages, it seemed as if this were not simply a buffer emptying
on PAD. If it was, perhaps the buffers are too big?
core is in /mit/drmorris/core (NFS)
