This is a known issue with alice-whacker. It is out of
date because it is running the scanner. There are plans to
reinstall it with the IS installer due to video problems and
Garry has sent mail with the necessary configurations for the
scanner.
I was feeling under inspired to actually do the reinstall.
If you would like to and reconfigure the scanner based on
/afs/sipb/machine/alice-whacker/CHANGES
that would be cool.
If anyone else feels so inspired, that would be fine too.
Or I'll get to it eventually.
Pickled is an IS-Athena-installer installed machine. It should
be a perfectly fine machine for builds, and I believe may be set
autoupdate=true even such that it will remain current.
Keesh I believe is in use for testing of the kludgy installer
update process, so is reasonable to test on for compatability,
but probably not for builds. lola-granola is our final remaining
athena-8.4 linux build machine.
That's what I know about the state of the Linux machines.
