It should print something like
/afs/athena/project/mime/arch/sun4x_57/bin
(and it does do this on machines that I tested on.)
Since it didn't, it makes me think you still have some sort of AFS
problem on your machine. I'm not sure what it might be. The fact that
you can get to exmh means that you're reaching (part of) the sipb cell.
Your machine's inability to read the mime locker suggests that it's
not reaching (part of) the athena cell.
