- When I first run xthesaurus, the window appears in the lower-left
corner of the screen. With the new interface, this means that it
is on top of the panel. When I go to use the window, the fact that
the mouse probably travels over the panel means that the panel
jumps in front of the thesaurus window. This can be do anything
from merely being an annoyance to prompting the user to think the
program is broken.
- The same thing happens with the word window, except that it's so
small that it's a.) half off the screen and b.) entirely hidden by
the jumping panel.
- Clicking on the word window makes it disappear. This is highly
suboptimal with click-to-focus, which is now the default behavior.
- Typing a word that has an entry in the thesaurus causes a seemingly
infinitely tall window to appear, with many, many layers of
overlapping text which render each other unreadable, and the
thesaurus effectively useless.
