Actually, I'm not quite sure what url-viewers influences.

You're definitely being affected by the "text/html" value in the
/mit/sipb/share/mailcap file.  Unfortunately, I've configured
pine so that the sipb mailcap overrides users' personal mailcaps,
because the sipb one occurs earlier in the search path.  (Oops.)

I've fixed the mailcap search path, the change should take effect
overnight.  To use lynx as your text/html viewer, what you still need
to do yourself is:

Edit a file in your home directory named ".mailcap", without the
quotation marks.
Make sure that there is no current "text/html" line.
Create a line that looks like the following:

text/html; attachandrun infoagents lynx lynx -force_html %s; needsterminal


Then quit and restart pine, and you should now be using lynx
when you try to view text/html attachments.
