I think it's a bad idea, at least at this juncture.
"xscreensaver" is still very much identified with jik's xscreensaver
around MIT. "xss" is also a lot easier and more convenient to type.
I think it is wise for Athena to install xscreensaver as "xss".
It might be interesting to rename the jik-xscreensaver to something
else at a future point, but hopefully we would do that when people
stop depending on it, like twelve to eighteeen months from now.
Even then, however, I'm not sure it's wise. I'd like my dotfiles
to continue to work with jik's xscreensaver on VAXes running 4.2BSD
without my having to edit them.
