Normally we recommend trying to read spreadsheets on Athena with
Applixware (add applix; applix &). Unfortunately that doesn't seem to
work in this case.
It does appear that it was likely written with Quattro Pro:
[x15-cruise-basselope!jhawk] /var/tmp> strings - Data1.wb3 | grep -i qu

I don't have any particularly good suggestions for you, other than
asking the person who sent it to you to use another format.
Of course, someone else copied on this email might have a copy of
Quattro, but I doubt it.
