jewell pointed out that the "type" shell script doesn't actually work:
~% type foo
/mit/sipb/bin/type: unexpected EOF while looking for `''
/mit/sipb/bin/type: command substitution: line 2: syntax error
/mit/sipb/bin/type: typist program in the games
locker instead.
I always thought the "type" shell script was a bad idea, so I've used
this as an excuse to nuke it from orbit.
