Probably.

(Sorry; I can't say much more.  X handles its keys in
interesting ways, and the question is further complicated
by the fact that you're sending the bug report from a Sun,
which probably has Athena's "customizations" to the BackSpace
and Delete keys...
If you care deeply about how it ought to work, you could
rebind the keys, using the "Bindings->Simple Edit" menu
from the main exmh window.)

Hm.  To me, that sounds a lot like somehow a literal Control-K
got into the buffer...  I wonder if it's possible to type faster
than exmh can keep up with you, so you end up getting literal
control characters into the file.
