Yes, there are a few known bugs with xscreensaver that could be fixed,
but for the most part, the bugs are minor.
Given that the logout button is so easily changed, there seems to
(speaking from hindsight) been little incentive to fix this problem.
Personally, I consider that fact that xscreensaver doesn't know about
VC's to be a much bigger problem, but it's also one that requires a
bit more effort, since the behavior should arguably be configurable.
Kretch also has some patches that he would like to see included, so if
you feel like doing this, you might want to talk to him.
