Help, help, help. I am an old man of 50 seeking information on a material
developed at MIT before you guys were born. It was 1974 and there were
gas lines in America and Nixon got on tv and asked for American solutions
to "the Arab Problem". At that time MIT had what I believe was called
The MIT Technology and Innovation Center ; at which was developed a
residential grade magnetic interior storm panel. Its heart was a PVC
extrusion containing a linear magnet. This extrusion accepted a piece of
acrylic which attached via a thin strip of steel forming the world's
first magnetic interior storm panel. A license to manufacture the
extrusion was granted by MIT to , I believe, the B.F. Goodrich Corp. The
SBA informs me that the license has expired and not been renewed. I seek
information on your product and licensing proceedure and have in my
possession samples of the original material. There is currently a
magnetic edge being produced by the SealMaster Corp. out of Knoxville,
Tenn... however, it is not as good as the edge you developed. Any
information and or direction you could provide would be most deeply
appreciated. thanx
