Over the past week or so, I installed Mosaic in the sipb-new locker.
I did a couple of little tiny things differently from how they're done
in the sipb locker. (Nothing too terribly important.) I'm sending
email here simply because I want to have these minor changes
documented somewhere.

- All files related to Mosaic, including the shell script that runs
it, app-defaults file, and /mit/sipb/share files, are kept in the
source tree under RCS control.

- The "Comment Card" is unsupported in 2.7b5. Trying to bring up the
comment card crashes Mosaic. The developers don't care, since
compiling with -DPRERELEASE turns off the comment card.
Unfortunately, Mosaic in the sipb locker is not compiled with
-DPRERELEASE. It is in the sipb-new locker.

- Some of the files in /mit/sipb/lib/Mosaic are out of date. I think
I've modernized them.

- Some of the stuff we've added to the app-defaults file seemed
irrelevant in the current version, so I nuked it. The app-defaults
file I installed is fairly close to the one NCSA distributes.

- And, of course, I made my own series of little changes to Makefiles,
files that don't compile on all platforms, etc... All these changes
are, of course, in RCS.

-Sal.
