If you're using emacs19, there's a *Messages* buffer which has recent
minibuffer output in it (that feature alone made it worth the trouble
for me to convert :-)
If you do a M-x set-variable RET debug-on-error RET t RET and try the
command again, you will get dropped into an emacs debugger, and can
see the failure report a little more clearly (hit 'q' to get out of
debug, and then set the variable to nil instead of t to turn the
debugger off...) Not for the squeamish, but if you're stuck it's
probably worth trying.
movemail has no outgoing mail capabilities, so it is unlikely to be
related to the problem, but seeing the full filename might be helpful...
