I've tried to reproduce this problem on squeamish, and it worked for
me. I suspect your problem may have something to do with either your
environment variables or vorlon's local configuration.

For some reason, the version installed for linux was referencing
/usr/athena/lib/tex/fonts, despite the fact that the Imakefile was set
up to do things correctly. (Yay strace. Not.) This was changed a
Long Time Ago, and I don't really remember why it wouldn't have been
built and installed correctly for Linux.

SIPB is a volunteer organization... you'd think people would try to be
polite to each other every once in a while. You can make snide
remarks all you want, Jered, but neither of these binaries has changed
in more than a year, and I couldn't reproduce the LaTeX problem you
complained about on a Linux machine I had access to. Making sweeping
accusations is counterproductive because it pisses people off.

I have rebuilt xdvi for Linux. Unless I hear a request for this from
someone other than Jered, I will be "testing" it for a week or so.
