I don't think there are any remaining access methods to the webster
data that require neither Kerberos authentication nor an MIT IP
address. I'd suggest that these
% hesinfo dictionary filsys
AFS /afs/athena.mit.edu/reference/webster n /mit/webster
% hesinfo webster filsys
AFS /afs/athena.mit.edu/reference/webster n /mit/webster
be updated to
AFS /afs/athena.mit.edu/reference/webster w /mit/webster
since you've taken away the system:anyuser access. One other comment:
the files are exported via NFS from charon, although the mountd
requires authentication, which I think is sufficient for this.
Also, I'll send a followup now to the original thread on sipb-staff
explaining (i.e., to the relevant IS people) what changes I made and
how they have been working so far.
