I'd like to correct a minor detail in Greg's message:

In fact, we already have. =) The current version of xdvi for the Suns
supports both DPS and ghostscript. If you want to avoid the X server
problem and still display PostScript images in xdvi, you can use
xdvi -nodps file.dvi
which will use ghostscript instead of DPS. This will, unfortunately,
make xdvi run slower and display slightly less "crisp" images.
Other than that, I agree with what Greg said. =)
