SIPB,
Ok, I was trying to open the help window on xzewd (just messing around) and
when the window came up on my screen it quickly disappeared and in my console
I got a message telling me that I found a bug and what I should do about it.
I did not understand this whole 'dbx Mosaic' thing and when I tried to type it,
I got a "command not found" message. So I used olc and talked with
Karin Lin and she had me do this:
add gnu
gdb
When I did that, I got this:
GDB is free software and you are welcome to distribute copies of it
under certain conditions; type "show copying" to see the conditions.
There is absolutely no warranty for GDB; type "show warranty" for details.
GDB 4.13 (sparc-sun-solaris2.3), Copyright 1994 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
(gdb)
And then I typed "where" at the (gdb) prompt and got this:
No stack.
She checked my core file and said this:
-------------
Yeah, it looks like you did everything right and the core file just
doesn't have any useful information. If you'd like, you can still mail
bug-sipb telling them what you did and that the results were "No stack";
be sure to mention what you were doing at the time, in as much detail as
possible, and that will still be helpful.
-------------
As far as being "detailed" about what I was doing... hmmm... not much.
Clicked on "help" in xzewd, clicked on "General" in the menu and only saw
the window for a breif second. By the way the same thing happened when I
tried "On sender" instead of "General."
If this has proved helpful I am glad and if for some reason you need to write
me back about this feel free to. Somehow tho, I think that this isn't going
to do much for you! :)
Thanks for your time,
Snow
