oops; you should have said something when you were here. There's a
serious flaw in our current news software that doesn't allow posting
while the server is expiring old news. This happens early in the
morning, starting at 2 (I think; usenet will correct me if I'm wrong)
and typically runs until 5 or 6am these days. The problem is that
posting doesn't jsut fail; it waits for the server to respond.. ..at
about 5 or 6am. :-(
