Are you implying that it _is_ supported by Athena? If so, why are
consultants pointing users to Zmodem?

The problem is that I've never understood what "the problem" was. I
thought "the solution" that was recommended was to type "terminal
download" at the CPTs... even though this never seemed to make much
difference for me.

What's this mean? What do you want to do - just put a datascope on
the line? That shouldn't be too hard... but is anybody interested in
doing it? Seems like our Athena _party_line_ is "use the old, slow,
reliable Kermit"... which is OK by me since everybody should be using
an MITnet connection and ftp anyway :-) . If neither SIPB nor IS
wants to support something better we should just say it - and _not_
tell people to use Zmodem and then flounder when it doesn't work.
