Assuming you mean removing the files and directories (but not the
volume) of the Athena gnu locker: no reason, but the "gnu" list should
be involved in this discussion, since it does include at least two MIT
staff members (miki and wdc) who aren't getting this mail.
If we need a majority, I could presumably join the DCNS gnu
"maintenance" group, and help swing the vote.
