1. yeah, I figured out how to do what I wanted in csh, but I haven't
changed it yet.
3. it depends on outland and graphics and mime, yes. No good way
around that right now.
4. I did that because I needed to PATH to contain the stuff from
outland, graphics, mime, etc. I believe that it was necessary in
some version of csh, but probably isn't now (and certainly not for
that purpose). I'll remove it.
I'm surprised that you didn't report a problem with the use of
XFILESEARCHPATH; I consider this to be a bug.
