(The present version of I-Latex is 3.2)

If this is true then it means that someone hasn't been updateing
/afs/sipb/project/doc/current, and we should remove their toenails.
:-) Make sure you're not looking at an early draft; I know Richard is
making upgrades to the doc (even as we speak :-).

Note: if a new user goes to Dash, goes to On Line Help and asks for
I-Latex, the user is shown version 3.0. Also, there is an error:

xdvi: special "psfile=funky-owl.PS hoffset=-100" not implemented

That's a warning, not an error, and we can't do anything about it. We
can't use PostScript because there is no method of converting
postscipt to ascii text and `help' must not require X to run (remeber
dialup?). If it was an error, then we would remove the logo from that
file (which might not be such a bad idea in any case).

Yes, this sucks. Yes, there are better ways to do this. People have
complained loud and long about Athena's help system, but a solution
involves changing the way the docs are written, not just how they're
presented, and that's a Hard Problem (TM). I don't think they're
close to a resolution yet (in fact, I think they've just made things
worse, but that's my opinion).

P.S. Yes, Using the World Wise Web as a delivery mechanism would
solve all known problems. Maybe someday it'll even happen. :-)
