xmosaic on Solaris 5.1 sucks CPU cycles when trying to clone

I tried clicking on the "clone" button in an xmosaic on solaris5.1
(uname -a == "SunOS w20-575-12 5.1 100884-17 sun4m sparc"), and it
decided it wants all the CPU time it can get.  The original window will
not repaint.
