After the recent updates to Netnews, xrn no longer functions on
Athena vaxstations. Here is an example from this morning, where
only 1 xterm and no window manager was running:
I doubt this has anything to do with recent updates to Netnews. It
more likely means that the first subscribed newsgroup in your .newsrc
has more articles in it than xrn can handle without running out of
memory.
Try unlimiting things with "unlimit" before running xrn. If you still
can't run it, read news with "rn" once so that there are no more
unread articles, and then try using xrn again.
