Is there any point to this program?
The last update to any of the motd files was August 14, 1991.
I think a few things have happened since then.
One of the messages is:
News is currently up.
I think either these messages should be maintained (i.e., this file
changed when the news server goes down or is scheduled to soon), or
deleted.
The messages saying "this is a test file" should probably go, in any
case.
