I installed utree (recently posted to comp.sources.unix) in the SIPB
locker. Utree is a "screen oriented filesystem browser and utility" and
is (in my opinion) well designed, powerful and suprisingly customizable;
I think almost every one of the numerous configuration variable that can
be specified at startup time through the command-line, dotfiles, or
environment can also be changed interactively (including the key
bindings.) It also has built-in help documentation. It is fairly small
for its utility, as well (it's about the size of typical shell.)
I would like the people on this list to try it out, because there may be
some bugs I haven't seen, and I'd like to get the obvious ones weeded
out so people can find the program useful; simply type "utree" and it
will start in your homedir.
