I'm pleased to announce the availability of nemacs and gnus for the
decmips platforms. Both are available in the nihongo locker.
Nemacs may be used with gnus to read the new fj.* newsgroups provided
by the SIPB. In nemacs (the decmips version only), type "M-x gnus" to
start the news reader. Articles with kanji should appear correctly.
(This will *only* work right now for the decmips nemacs).
Because no space was left in the locker, however, wnn4 binaries for
the decmips are *not* available, and therefore, there is no easy way
to enter kanji directly on decmipsbin machines right now (sorry).
Please note that they are there as a stopgap measure until more space
can be found for it in a new permanent home. Also, beware that there
may still be problems - please experiment and report bugs.
-Ike.
