No, I was using the theoretically-most recent version. read again the
pathname of the binary: /afs/.sipb/project/sipb/vaxbin/xdvi
What exactly are you doing that seems to be working? and how does it
differ with what I am trying and I think should work (according to the
update announcement)?
And I still have the problem with these environment variables set:
(sample.tex is just /mit/sipb/lib/tex/macros/sample.tex with the
docstyle line changed to:
\documentstyle[times]{article} % Specifies the document style.
)
[I can't simply unset everything, otherwise times.sty & the font .tfm
files aren't found.]
