Hi,

I'm glad to hear you got your messages back on the IMAP server.

The sipb version of pine is actually a wacky version. It was
built before MIT's mail servers supported IMAP, and it provides
a way to download your mail via kerberized POP.

If you've always been running it as "pine-imap", you would
probably be happier using Athena's pine. To do this, run the
following commands (you only have to run them once):

    cd
    touch .athena-pine-noask
    rm .athena-sipb-pine-noask
    pine

The .....pine-noask files try to keep track of which pine
your preferred pine is. If you have a .athena-pine-noask file,
then you can just run "pine" at the athena% prompt, and you
will get the current, up-to-date pine that Athena provides.

(Sipb's pine is four or five years old, and we'd prefer for
people to switch to Athena's pine.)
