We supposedly set up all our software to work when located under
/usr/sipb. That was the convention we decided on back before Athena
had even decided on its /mit convention. That way it isn't dependent
on Athena's /mit convention, or LCS using /usr/local, or whatever. It
also doesn't depend on the mode of delivery of the software. As long
as /usr/sipb is a useable path, our software works. (At least, that's
the theory. Ignore for the moment the occasional lossage with this
software in particular in moving from /mit/discuss to /usr/sipb. My
argument has nothing to do with discuss specifically.) Our rather
strong insistence on this was the reason the /usr/sipb link exists.

If you want to change it, fine; but then the software has to be
changed throughout any time it gets moved from one site to another.
LCS will not be able to use it without change, nor watch.com.

But when you change it, don't forget to make it also mount
cyrus:/u2/lockers/sipb if /afs isn't there. (Note the lack of a ":-)"
here.)
