To whom it may concern-
It has been a while since I used the rx and sx programs in the sipb locker.
They used to work well- an occasional problem or two, but nothing that
couldn't be solved by just trying again.
But lately, I haven't been able to upload anything with rx. I have tried
several text documents, and they all stop in different places- some in
block 1, others as late as block 30- but they never make it all the way.
I was wondering if there has been an upgrade of some kind recently, or if
I might be doing something wrong. I am using a vt100 emulator on an Amiga,
setting protocol to XModemCRC (this works better than plain XModem with the
sx command). I have also tried to use emacs and just dump the file in ascii,
but this doesn't work either- it gives me a strange "No match" message.
Is there anything else I can do? I am trying to upload some programs and
debug them on a vax so I can finish a UROP before going away on Wednesday
(1/23). Are there other editors, perhaps? Other Xmodem transfer programs?
Any suggestions?
