Given that you don't get a second chance to save a .newsrc file when
exiting xrn, turning updateNewsrc on by default seems like a good
idea. This bit me last night; because I hadn't realized that my
tokens expired, none of the articles I read yesterday in any newsgroup
got marked as read.
I'd have to disagree, since this involves an extra disk access each
time article mode exits.
Since it's a resource, you can set it to true in your own resources.
Besides, this is only going to be a big problem for people who are on
AFS.
