Are there any other chapter presidents on APO-L currently? If so, did you
receive a booklet from the Advocacy Institute in Washington? My school was
kind enough to forward it to me at home instead of letting it sit in our
chapter mailbox till September. For those of your who haven't seen it, it is
a pamphlet put out by this organization to get people interested in a career
in public service advocacy. It's very interesting. But the most interesting
thing is that there is a letter attached to it, addressed to "Alpha Phi Omega
President." The letter talks about how people like us in APO often have
trouble seeing a connection between their extra-curricular activities and a
career. I thought it was great that our reputation has reached these levels
and that there are organizations out there that are trying to recruit us
because of our involvement with Alpha Phi Omega.
