Independence, MO is on the West end of Missouri. (Its a suburb of
Kansas City(Which is in both Missouri and Kansas)
Most of the flooding in the area has been on the Mississippi itself. Given that
Kansas hasn't applied for disaster relief, I would bet that that area hasn't
had much flooding.
