Hello everyone in Apo-l land!

I'm back after a long weekend, and finally able to send out some more info on
my quilt idea.

First, thanks to everyone who sent me a reply, and for the suggestions. :) Keep
them coming, the more the better.

Next, I was doing some major thinkong over the weekend, and I came up with a
few things to bounce off of everyone.

1) My goal is to have this ready for the 1994 Convention. A few people asked if
I would move it to the 1996, but I would rather shoot for 94. The reason is that
I'm afraid that the idea might lose steam by 1996, and I feel that everyone
who really wants to do this will be able to do it for 1994 also.

2) Storing the quilt...someone sent me a letter about it, but it was
accidentaly delelted. If you could please re-send it to me, it would be greatly
appreicated. :) I would like to have it stored at the National Office, but I
have to ask them first.

3) The big thing right now is that not every section has a fall sectional
conference, as 88/89 does. This could kink things up a bit, as my original idea
was to go Sectionals, Regionals, Naitonals. So, I'm throwing it out to everyone.
Here are a few ideas:
  a) Having the squares ready for your Regionals, and sewing them together then
  b) Having the Sections get together and sew the squares together before
      Regionals.
  c) Having the Section elect a chapter withing the Section to collect the
squares and sew them together. Then they would be ready for Regionals.

I'm not sure how other Sections and Regions work together, so I leave it to
you. I'm more than willing to go with a majority rule, and any other ideas.

4) I need to get some sort of a tree going, so I can get in touch with every
chapter, especially when it comes time to see who has finsihed their square.
I was thinking of something like this. (Again, realize that this isn't definate,
just a thought. Let me know what you think.)
  Top of the tree: Myself
Next would be someone from the Region, I was hoping maybe the Regional
Directors could help me out. I have to ask them personally first.
Next would be someone from the Section. Again, maybe the Section Chairs, but
I have to ask them for their help.
Finally, someone from the chapter. My idea would be have the chapter CorSec
do this, but if someone else would want to, it is up to the chapter.

It will be easier to do things if it was spread out this way. But again, I
have to ask the Regional Directors and the Section Chairs first.

5) The Region squares will have to be stored somewhere inbetween Regionals and
Nationals. I would need a chapter from each Region to hold their respective
square until then. The regional chapters can decide this anyway that they want
to, as long as one of them will do it, and that someone tells me. :)

Well, I think that that's all for right now. Sorry about it being so long, but
it's going to be a big quilt if it works out. :) Please, send me any ideas,
suggestions, replies, etc. Don't worry about sending me an idea that someone
else might have already sent. I would rather get 10 copies of one idea than no
copies of anything. Thanks for you time!
YiLFS,
 Tracey
