Ok, haven't heard much from people since the last message, so I can
assume that either that explanation was good enough or that some
people are so clueless that they are embarassed. If anyone can't get
ahold of their local chapter computer geek, let me know and I'll see
if I can help you out.

OK everybody, it is not 100% complete, but I have a good part of the
files on the site. I might just hold off on the last few pieces of
clip are until I get back to campus. If anyone is really interested
in a few pieces of clip art, let me know and I will put them up
sooner.

Once again, here are the directions: anything with a > at the
beginning of the line is a command and should work literally on most
systems.

>ftp vtucs.cc.vt.edu Use anonymous (lowercase) as your user name.
                                Eagle is your password.
>cd filebox
>cd nyman This is my personal directory. Off of that
                      directory, there are several choices.
apo General stuff. If you dunno what to do with it, put it
                here.
aposoc Somebody suggested this one. Anything that is more or
less dedicated to the aposoc-l list goes here.
Someone suggested even picture scans of brothers on
                aposoc.
apolaws Bylaws from different chapters as well as national
bylaws. This one is a bit lacking because I didn't
get them all uploaded. Probably in the fall.
aponews Newsletters from different chapters. Only one so far.
Postscript is okay, but upload in other formats if
                possible.
apoart Clipart and other scanned images relating to aphio.
Personal pictures go in aposoc, this one is for stuff
like the nice scan someone did of the crest.
pub This directory has non apo related files in it.
Currently it has the latest mcafee scan as well as
pkzip and gnuzip decompression programs. Anyone can
get to this directory to download, but only brothers
logging in with the correct password will be able to
                upload.

Once again, the username is anonymous and the password is eagle.
Please feel free to upload as well as download anything you think is
appropriate. If you get any errors or need any help, you can send
mail to either my account or the chapter account.

Also, Please do NOT spread this information to non aphio related
people. Anyone is welcome to get files from the pub directory, but do
not spread the current (or future) passwords. The system is set up
such that someone could cause quite a bit of havoc in the files
sections (i.e. erase or overwrite existing files) if they get ahold of
the password that I am releasing for BROTHERS ONLY. I'll work on this
in the fall, but any files on the server are better kept within the
brotherhood anyway.

Thanks,
Rick Nyman
