Beware the arguement of:
I have no problem if people do <x>
I have asked lots of people, and none of them objects if people do <x>
Therefore, it is no problem if people do <x>
I have heard this arguemtn applied many times to the issue over
"Brothers" vs. "Sisters", and I have to say (even though I am a man)
I am highly offended by that argument. Just because no one in your immediate
cigrcle of friends has a problme with being called a "brother" doesn't mean
that no one does. Is the term more important that respecting people
and their wishes?
Just my $.02, and not, I repeat not, necessarily the opinion of
any other person or organization to which I belong.
