Hello to everyone who is still around for the summer!!!
I know a popular service project for apo chapters on their campuses is to run
lost and found offices. No such office exists on our campus of @ 4,000 and we
are looking into getting one started. Any helpful ideas or suggestions,
pointers, hints, etc. would be greatly appreciated! You can send them directly
to my account: ACC_MDR@EXODUS.VALPO.EDU instead of our chapter account.
What we're looking for general information on how organizations got space to do
this sort of service project, whether items are collected from different depts.
on campus or if the items are brought from different buildings to the lost and
found each day, or each week? Are the items found published in a newsletter,
campus paper, or posted on bulletin boards? How long do you keep the items?
What does your chapter do with them if they are never claimed? What are common
problems that you have run into and how did you solve them? Or anything else
that may be of interest. Thanks in advance for your responses. I really
appreciate all the help I've received so far from all my friends on apo-l.
