Since it is a Scout Jamboree, it would be appropriate for registered
Scouts and Scouters (GSA included :) to attend in uniform. Many
Brothers in Scout uniform wear the "Embroidered Pin Emblem" available
from the National Office. This patch dangles from the right breast
pocket (where the activity badge goes) and has a picture of our
Fraternity's pin on it.
It would be great if all of us wore some type of insignia while at the
Jamboree, so that we could identify each other. The Jamboree also
provides the Fraternity with a week long opportunity to meet dedicated
high school and college aged scouts who may later decide to become
Brothers; if all of us are visible in letters, that helps tremendously
with public relations and recruitment. PR and recuitment, of course,
are two of the primary purposes of the APO booth in the National Exhibits
area.

Two good friends of mine are getting married on that Saturday (hi Dina and
Mike!) so I can't be at the reception and I won't be on staff. But I do
intend to be there in uniform Wednesday.
