Brothers,
Yesterday, May 1, 16 petitioners became brothers of Alpha Phi Omega because the
Alpha Delta chapter at San Diego State University was rechartered. It only took
the group 7 months to come together and complete the requirements to recharter
(and in Region X, there are many requirements to become a chapter!) and they
also added 8 more members from the Allen Wong, DDS, pledge class, whom were
also activated yesterday afternoon.
We'd like to thank all the people who came to the ceremony and helped us
celebrate this new beginning:

Anthony Rodrigues - Region X Extension Chair
Julie Miller - Section 2 Chair - and her staff
Phi Delta Chapter - Cal Poly Pomona
Eta Eta Chapter - Arizona State University
Alpha Gamma Nu Chapter - University of California, Santa Cruz
Rho Pi Petitioning Group - University of California, San Diego
and the many alumni from Southern California.
With the addition of this chapter to Section 2, the section has increased in
size by 50 percent! Now, if UC San Diego recharters, then the size will double
and there will be 2 chapters in San Diego where, only a year ago, there was no
activity for Alpha Phi Omega in this area.
