At Bta Beta we use the small colored ppastic disks to denote different levels
of service: cumulative and per semester. I personally value them much more
than a paper certificate, they are a continual reminder to me of what I have
achieved and how much more I would like to do. I will be talking (I think ) to
the person in charge of our service disk committe very soon, and if you have an
interest in how we get the disks and the criteria we use to award them, please
contact me privately (if there is enough interest I'll post the info to the
list) since this has been discussed before. I do want to say that it doesn't
matter how new your chapter is or how old, service disks are something that I
am very proud of, and I think that they would fit very well into almost any
chapter. It is a source of personal motivation.
