Brothers, et. al:
I am happy to announce the initiation of the Beta Kappa Pledge
Class(dedicated to Dwight Henry)at Tau Epsilon Chapter(Tennessee Technological
University):
Les Bright(My Little Brother!)
Shawn Heifner
Darrell Kirby
Chris Massie
David Skelton
With these new Brothers, our total number of Actives has risen to
20! Not bad for a Chapter that only had 9 last year when I pledged!
On a miscellaneous note, this is probably the most unique pledge
class we have had so far. Chris and Les are both married, and Les has a
3-year-old daughter. Darrell has lived much of his life in Europe, and has
a rather unique accent(mostly German). David's girlfriend is a Sister in the
Epsilon Chapter of Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority here at Tech,
which I believe was how he bacame aware of us. Les is also in the Marine
Reserves, and balancing that with pledging, supporting a family, and majoring
in geology has been no easy task for him. Shawn he has rarely been seen
without a hat on, and he can sound like Christian Slater when he talks. Also,
David is the fourth Active David in our Chapter...we're taking over!!!!!!!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Seriously, all these guys have worked hard this semester, and they
are to be congratulated, along with their Pledgemaster, Jack Payne. This
was his first pledge class, and he nearly gave himself an ulcer worrying
over whether or not they would make it. My hat(and maybe Shawn's?)is off to
you, Jack!
