We are a Service Fraternity. Anyone who joins should be willing to do
service willingly and eagerly. Peolple who join for fellowship are fine. The
reason for this is that I believe a lot of fellowship occurs during service
projects. Working together builds the bond of Brotherhood. That is one reason
we do service.
I believe that service is useless and meaningless unless it is given freely
and not coerced. One reason that I do service is that I get "a warm fuzzy
feeling inside." It makes me feel good about myself. When people want to do
service, they are more cheerful at the projects. This means a better job is
done and it makes us, APhiO, look good.
That was my two bits. Apply the usual disclaimer.

                In Brotherhood,
                Larry Hart
