Hi all!
I just wanted to congratulate Xi Beta chapter of the University of
Nebraska at Kearney for a good/OK type of sectional conference. It was a
great conference considering that sect 26 (Nebraska) has not had a sectional
conference in about a decade (as I understood!):). In attendence were the two
chapters from Sect. 26 (Kearney and Creighton) and the chapter from Colorado
School of Mines (I think that's correct! Is it, Keith or Wayne?). I was there
in attendence just to have a good 'ole time and relax for the weekend. I dare
say the parties were great and the people are awesome...and the project did
pretty good, or so I hear. There were two projects, an Adopt-a-Mile clean
up of three miles of Intersate 80 and a Bowl-a-Thon for the Make A Wish
Foundation. Both of these went off well and all those who attended had a
great time. I can say now that I have been drunk at UNK! They do know how to
party and the western formal was a big hit! (I do wish I knew how to country
dance...it would have been even more fun to be able to dance with all those
country bumpkins up there! :) So, that's about it for the conference...a
good time was had by all, even the speaker on Sat. morning, and I found out that
(oops! The computer died on me! Sorry!) that Nebraska is flat, straight, and
beautiful country (even tho there weren't any trees or hills!). I'm glad
I was able to meet my fellow brothers and hope to meet a few more at future
sectional, regional, and national events! Thanks for taking the time to put
up with this post - Xi Beta needed the recognition! Later,
Chip Watts
