With the summer here, most APO Brothers are probably doing various
activities until school starts again in the Fall. Most of us are
probably not thing about service...

Something that may be of interest is to see what the Order of the Arrow,
Scouting's Honor Society is doing this summer. The OA, which is an
service-oriented group, has embarked on a huge national service project
for this summer called ArrowCorps5. The goal is to bring together 5
thousand arrowmen over 5 weeks at 5 National Forest sites (basically 1
thousand at each site). The inspiration for this event is their
long-time success of service projects at the BSA's national high
adventure bases of Philmont, Northern Tier, and the Florida Sea Base.

So far, 3 of those sites have been concluded, at Mark Train NF
(Missouri), Manti-La Sal NF (Utah), and Geo Washington & Jefferson NF
(Virginia). Two more sites still to come are Shasta-Trinity NF (CA) and
Bridger-Teton (WY) in July and August.
