We're now approaching some significant milestones with Alpha Phi Omega's
national service project database on apo.org. The database currently has
1,485 projects in it, just 15 projects away from 1,500 service projects:

(a great resource for chapters looking for potential service project ideas
;-)

Some of the best project reports can be found in the 'Featured Projects'
collection, here:

jects

I've made a few forward-looking, future projections (take these with a grain
of salt ;-). If we take it that an average of 278 project reports are
submitted with each NSW & SYSD cycle (based on an average calculated from
our statistical analysis), we can project that the database will potentially
reach 1,778 projects by the end of this year (convention) and 2,056 projects
by the end of this academic year (may/june).

Of course, if chapters want to help us out so that we reach the 2,000 mark
by convention, that would be great, too! Remember, only NSW & SYSD reporting
is actually 'required' ... reporting of additional projects (emergency
relief, section-wide, region-wide, and other projects) is strongly
encouraged, and is a great service to the fraternity in itself! You'll be
helping out future generations of brothers that might want to do a similar
project at another school (or even at the same school in the years to come).
Plus, if you submit a photo or two with the report, and the report is of
good quality (read: we want more written down than simply, "the project was
a success," and, "we had fun."), you might get a mention on the featured
projects page,... ;-)
