I have had the honor to have met Mrs. Dacy in the past. She was, as Julie so
elegantly put it, a lovely and graceful woman. My thoughts and prayers are
with Mr. Dacy and his family.

Subject: [APO-L] Laverne Dacy's Passing
Dear Friends,
It is with a sad heart that I share the news that Laverne Dacy, wife of
Alpha Phi Omega Alumni DSK Recipient, National Pledge Class Namesake, and
long-time Alpha Rho Advisor George Dacy, passed away on Monday after
suffering a stroke last Thursday. Her funeral is set for this Thursday at 11
am in Austin, TX at St. David's Church on 7th Street.
I don't yet have any information on where to send flowers or make donations
but will pass that along as soon as I do. If you would like to send Mr.
Dacy a card, his address is 4903 Crestway Drive, Austin 78731.
For those of you who may not have met Laverne at the National Convention in
New Orleans, she was a kind, shy, and very strong partner for Mr. Dacy.
Those of us from Alpha Rho are quick to talk about all of the weddings and
special events that Mr. Dacy still attends, even in his later years. We
often fail to mention, however, that Laverne is always there beside him. He
loved her dearly, and her calm, graceful presence will be missed by all of
us who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In Leadership, Friendship, & Service,
Julie
