Firstly I like to say thank you to those who repsonded
to my question about cold calling campuses.

Secondly I'd lke your input on the letter below. It's
intended to go to alumni from the last 10 or so years.

Dear <Alumni Brother>,

We would like to properly introduce ourselves in the
hopes that you will be willing and able to assist
Alpha Phi Omega re-charter the chapter at University
of Wyoming, Laramie.

As you may remember from your time as an active, Alpha
Phi Omega (APO) was founded in 1925 as the collegiate
Boy Scouting fraternity. In 1976, women were granted
full membership rights. Today, all initiated members
are referred to as "Brothers," whether they are male
or female. The cardinal principles of APO are
Leadership, Friendship, and Service. The fraternity
strives to build leaders of tomorrow by work in
volunteer service. The fraternity emphasizes work in
four fields: Campus, Community, Fraternity, and the
Nation as participating citizens.

An interest to re-charter has been expressed by a
student of the University of Wyoming, Neal Knox, and
we have decided to pursue the effort even though
volunteer staff is thin in the area.

I am the Region 8 Extension Chair responsible for
overseeing the process of chartering new chapters and
re-chartering those that have died for whatever
reason. Currently Region 8 has efforts at the
University of Denver, University of Kansas, Lindenwood
University, and University of Wyoming. Our National
goal is 2 new chapters per Section by 2010, for this
we need all the alumni volunteers who are able to
pitch in. My name is Rod Schnell.

I am Sara Gale, the Section 30 Chair. Section 30
consists of Colorado and Wyoming and is currently home
to three active chapters at Colorado School of Mines -
Golden, University of Colorado – Boulder, and Colorado
State University – Fort Collins. The Colorado area of
Section 30 is strong with alumni volunteers, however
more are needed in Wyoming for the re-chartering
effort to be a success.

An interest meeting is planned for the evening of
April 19th at the Wyoming Student Union from 6-9pm.
If you are interested in helping and can make it
please RSVP to either one of us. If you cannot make
it and would like to help out in the future please let
us know.

Thank you for your time.

In Leadership, Friendship, and Service,

Sara Gale – Section 30 Chair
